  • What is everyone so proud of???

Not wanting to spoil the navel gazing and back slapping going on today, or to start argument, but could some please explain to me and the hundreds around me last night, what exactly you are all so proud of??

At what point did we pose a threat to chelsea, or chelsea have to get out of 2nd gear?? If any Chelsea fan is reads these qpr messageboards today, they must be thinking they were at a different game.

We all left the bridge for a second cup game not understanding what the hell we were supposed to be doing out there. In the second half we semi-parked the bus, and chelsea were just playing around us while we sat back, deeper and deeper into our box like a training game. At one point buzz, our most gifted player, was playing the holding role in midfield while the argy was upfield losing the ball FFS. In the second half I would rather we lost 5-0 trying to beat them than accepting 1-0 and being proud.

IMO all we got for £20 was to sing to Terry that his mom's a thief, as for the second time at the bridge in recent years we never even had a remote chance of scoring or winning.

    A total waste of time.

I was definately at a different game to you. You seem to forget that we had them pressed in their area for short spells a few times. We looked very comfortable in defence and kept the ball well. The best I've seen us keep the ball in a while.

What I'd like to know is what threat they really posed us?

Come on marc, no need for insults mate.

Not only that, but we really pressured them right after their goal. As someone on dot.org mentioned, lesser teams would have crumbled.

I for one am very proud of the team.

I thought we more than matched them in every department. If we'd have had a bit more confidence in the final third we would have won the mach. A lot of teams would have gone to Stamford Bridge and be thrashed last night..

Not for the first time, lack of a quality striker cost us dear last night.

I totally disagree, we were perhaps the better side in the first half and with some decent shooting may have scored. But I do see your point, and how things have changed in the last 10-15 years.

                      http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...up/8257276.stm

                      Possession - Chelsea 51% - QPR 49%

                      Shots on target - Chelsea 7 - QPR 2

                      Shots off - Chelsea 6 - QPR 6

                      Corners - Chelsea 5 - QPR 3

                      Not a hugely unballanced game.

POssession was 51% to them, so nothing in it.

Exactly what I said earlier. The top two have a great understanding and both played well, but we just don't seem to have the end product.
