I've always preferred the Championship as a league, far more unpredictable and love how the team that come 20th one season can finish 1st the next, far more exciting than the Premier League!! Obviously the PL is still where I want us to be but I will miss the Championship!
"Imagine a relationship that went wrong but you held on in there for years: that's what it is like supporting a football team. Your loyalty to a team can never die. Ties are stronger than they could ever be with a woman. If she goes and sleeps with your best mate, it's over. If the Rs' boss, Ian Holloway, slept with my best mate, QPR would still be my team. Even if many of the things that you loved about going to matches have gone - terraces, team shirts without sponsors and being able to smoke at grounds - you still stick with your team." - Peter Doherty.

Agree about bouncing up and down the leagues. Would take that than a boring mid table existance. At least, good or bad, it isnt boring.

For all the London derbies that were on offer down there I would have loved to have been in that league this season. If we go down and I hope we don't, please God Palace and West Ham come with us, Orient come up and Foolham and bitter bees stay in it for a London fest !!!

I won't miss the champs, I'd prefer seeing my team compete at the highest level. Nothing to do with glory hunting, but it's great when we beat the big-shot teams.

Always loved the Championship and it's unpredictability and all round competitiveness. Will miss it for sure.

The Premier League is all about the MONEY. It is not competitive and only the rich clubs can win (and of course the rich owners always win).

The Championship is all about the FOOTBALL. It is competitive and anybody can win.

                  I know which I prefer.

I will miss the Championship. Think we all will eventually. Can't beat being in a league you actually have a chance of winning. No thought more depressing than survival in the premier league being all the success we can look forward to.
Not even a good cup run, and possible return to Wembley, as the 'league' will be our be-all, and end-all.
Other than that, roll on Saturday!!!!

Wonder if people will celebrate if we get relegated?

Of course they won't. Why would anybody celebrate failure? I will miss it for the fact others have mentioned ie we will not have a chance of winning the league & PL survival will be seen as a success. Long gone are they days when small clubs still had half a chance, like us in '76 & Notts Forest, who actually won it & went on to win the European Cup.
