The Drogba thing is irrelevant, I can't imagine JM had pinned his goal tally on the old boy. I thought he was going to be moved into a coach / ambassador role anyway. He's a kind of totem figure for CFC, but these Bobby Z would give him a run for his money over 60m.........

I really can't believe what people are saying, Remy goes then we will be relegated, Remy was going to Liverpool anyway so we needed to find another striker or 2 then the deal fell through, still a few days lets see what happens ffs

So where are these 2 new strikers going to be signed from? QPR have needed at least 1 but probably 2, all summer and not got one yet.

The rumours about Kane just about sum this all up. He will be another last minute gamble like SWP & Ferdinand, Cisse & Zamora and last season's Keane, Maiga, Dellatore & Doyle debacle.

£8.5M doesn't buy much these days (not even enough for the likes of Deeney, Rhodes, or McCormack). And I wouldn't trust QPR's European scouting network to discover a young striker like Drogba or Benteke, but more like another Dominic Iorfa!

Funny how some of you consider some comments an over-reaction...how many goals did we manage in the Championship? 60, in a 46 game season - and 20 of those came from one player, who is unproven in the PL. Remy going and us not finding a suitable replacement would lead to our relegation, it really is as simple and obvious as that. On this theme, caughtoffside (which admittedly is about as reliable as a London bus) seems to be of the opinion that we are in negotiations with Spurs to swap Remy for Andros Townsend and Harry Kane.....

You've spoken to Remy personally have you? If not, I would suggest you haven't got a single clue that he doesn't want to play 2nd fiddle to Diego Costa.

He and numerous other people have said that he wants to play Champions League football. I would have thought play meant that playing, not sitting on the bench and being called onto play for maybe the last 20 minutes or so.

Well techincally that is playing, so not sure what your argument is there. He won't go to a Top 4 team and expect to play every minute of every game in the CL...he's completely deluded if he does. I would suggest that he would make do with the odd 20 minutes here or there, seeing as he did the same for France in the WC and didn't seem to complain about it.
