As I say, they don't need to negotiate with us - they simply offer the agreed amount in his contract, and that's that. I can't see why they'd want to loan us players purely for the sake of it.

Is remy any better than lakaku? Cos he was deemed as not good enough. Pretty certain thîs i rubbish and wont happen. Hes too good for us but not good enough for chelsea, man city, barca or real madrid.

As Will M says, Remy doesnt want to be a bench-warmer. There've also been recent reports of HR getting his contract renegotiated until at least January. So perhaps it's not as 'common sense' as youre making out...

If Chelsea have enquired about Remy due to the Drogba situation, I guess they will also have asked about Hernandez, Wilfred Bony, plus a few others, so let's not panic yet.

Didier Drogba is hopeful of returning to action sooner than planned after injuring his right ankle in Sunday's 2-1 pre-season win against Ferencvaros.

Typical Chelsea. They had a fantastic striker in Lukaku but wouldn't give him a chance because he wasn't a big enough "star". They rely on Drogba who was a brilliant player but is now about 90 and - surprise, surprise - he is now injured. So they potentially take one player and relegate us in the process. Most Chelsea fans these days won't even care, but bet a few of the old timers are laughing their heads off.

I thought Drogba confirmed he only twisted it?

Remy going to them lot would be an absolute nightmare! This is going to be the position we're in until September 1st though people, it's going to be a nervy few weeks regarding Remy.

If they wanted him, why didn't they sign him a month ago before they got Drogba. At 36, they must know that even if Drogba doesn't get injured, he is not likely to play every game.

I agree. It's just a rumour and from Goal, who are hardly the best.

Was we 100% certainly relegated when remy was signing for liverpool then stains? Hes a good striker but i dont think we are that much a one man team. If he goes (which he wont to chelsea cos hes not that good) deeney or the like will come straight in.

The problem seems to be that while we still think he is going to be here, the powers that be, don't seem to be looking for another striker. When it was thought he was going to Liverpool, we were linked with all sorts of strikers, but since then hardly any strikers have been mentioned.
