Possibly mate. But for now, regardless of how many were sat in the Rangers end at Wembley, we have about 15k we can rely on for games week in week out - don't get why people think we would have anymore / seem surprised when we don't always sell out? We are only a small club.

Well said....and its because grown men become like big kids when it comes to football and expect everyone to be as excited as them. Just because you've been the first in line to get your ticket for Hull at home don't expect a stampede behind you like!

Surely we all know by now that we have 15k fans tops that will attend regularly, no more?

So no need for a half empty 40k stadium then Eh lads

Viva le gang of four !
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

The majority of QPR fans want a 30-40k stadium, with 35k the optimum size. Fact

I know this is selfish, but I'm pleased the game hasn't sold out. Might mean I'll be able to get tickets to all the home games! I don't understand why people are questioning the size of our support. I'd rather there were fewer, quality fans than a horde of plastic fans. We have what we need and any way who would want to end up like Arsenal or Chelsea where every Tom, Richard and Harry has shirt?

Uncle T hasn't published any results though has he, that was just an off the cuff statement.

Funny how the survey came up with the (nearly) desired result.

He was straight on it after Wembleeeeeeeee saying that confirms to him there are 40k R's waiting to turn up every week.

What Weare & I are saying is we know loads of people who were there who aren't Rangers. Even Vespa had a Gooner in his party of 4.

The club published the results of the fans consultation. Can only really be guided by that for now.

Well, here's a thought: is that Gooner one of the many thousands who can't afford the Gooner's exorbitant season ticket prices and has a membership, along with many thousands more than they have seats available, in the hope of getting in to a few matches a year, most likely against the Hull Citys and Burnleys of the Premier League? If so, I wonder what he would think about coming along to Rangers a bit more often when we have a nice shiny new state of the art stadium and he can't get into the Arab Airline Stadium?

Thank you very much for all the kind feed back - but if you read the original thread there was a question mark at the end - hence this was a RHETORICAL QUESTION - not my opinion, not me be stupid, moaning and all the other lovely feedback.

Given the success of selling out at Wembley I thought it was a question worth asking as well as adding to the debate on the size of our new stadium - but it appears that a number of you have PST (Pre Season Tension) and decided to have a pop at my OP. Fair enough but it seems no one can ask a question with being shot down in flames.

If you want to know my opinion I think we only have hard core of about 15k fans that will by tickets whichever league we are in so its always unlikely that we will sell out each home game.

we had a citeh fan with our party of 8, likewise I know 3 Rangers fans through circumstances that couldn't make the final. My take on the capacity of a new stadium is 30-35,000 would be sufficient, with the option to increase if necessary
I must away now, I can no longer tarry

But would they be he same ones that only turn out at Wembley? So we would fill this new stadium for Man Utd, City & Ar$enal at home but have it half empty for the less glamorous games vs Hull, Stoke etc?
