It's getting awful snobby 'round here lately.

Anyone would think that we've signed some decent players......

If Townsend does ever go anywhere you know he is going to be over priced, just like all the other young English players

Andros Townsend is a good player, he had a good spell on loan here a few years ago, but £10million is a tad too much.
Would put Andros in the £5-6million bracket, but not a penny more.

If Townsend goes anywhere, Spurs will want £15 - £20mills for him

Would love him here on a permanent but for only up to 8 mill. Dont think we should oay anything over that on any player other than a proven goalscorer.

You seriously think an attacking mid with three career goals - one of which was a flukey cross - is worth £15m or more? Ridiculous.

Do I think he is worth more than 15mill? Or do I think THAT is what he will go for in this current market?...

The answer to that would be.. that is what Spurs would want for him in this current market.
Yes, it is ridiculous but its the reality of it.

Hoilett isn't a wide player, hence the sh*t performances there. If he was played in the hole behind the strikers he will get us goals guaranteed and everyone's opinion on him will change. He did that in the premier league for Blackburn.
Andros would add some depth to the midfield but can he really play the wing back role? Not sure how good he is defensively.
Ginge if he's not wide played that still doesn't mean Townsend doesn't offer more than him played there , I would say Phillips should be use as an inside forward but Townsend still offers more down the flank .
As for this crap that Townsend only looked good in a poor side with us I know our national side is crap but he still out shone all of them and it's a better England with him in it than out of it

You're not paying the £15m for what he already done, you're paying £15m for what he might become. That's why United paid £34m for a left back who has played about 80 professional games.

                      Andros is 23, not 18.

I think townsend is too much of an asset for spurs atm. Cant see him leaving unless he has a terrible season, then he could leave in January.

Improvement to the squad definitely, but not worth £10m IMO.

His style flatters to deceive, his end product has been disappointing overall.

Yeah, against Macedonia or whoever it was. We all know Andros looks good against clueless defenders

He mentioned nothing about age? :/.. he mentioned paying for what you are going to get with potential.

Your very negative towards Andros, I get the feeling you don't rate him?

Lots of wingers/wide players start off looking top drawer but seem to get found out pretty quickly by half decent defenders, especially ones that don't have a trick & are just direct. Think this could happen with him. Not saying this doesn't happen to all types of players but IMHO his type more than others.
