I think he was the only player who went to the US for his medical. I found this strange, since he was not going to play in the US as he was still on holiday. The owners of Liverpool are American (owners of the Boston Red Sox). Is it possible they heard about his medical condition and said that he needed a more thorough medical examination in the US, and after the examination, decided that they did not want to take the risk.Comment
