Quality photo evidence! Thank you! If this does go through,I see the name is pronounced Eeeelya,so the s is silent. A bit pedantic to bring up I know, but I had no idea. Otherwise that French Striking Legend for Arsenal would have been called Terry Henry if we didn't pronounce names right, right.

So is it pronounced like Island?

I assume it means Mauritius (Ile de Maurice).

my mates mothers brother terry is a porter there he said Islas was on his way to palace to sign for them but fell whilst getting of the plane at heathrow and broke his foot that's why he is at hospital !! sorry to disappoint
Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

You're right but sitting in a hospital in West London completing his medical means the only thing to do is actually sign on the dotted line. Medicals take place after everything has been agreed.

Eel (as in the fish) ya.

I'll still be calling him Isla though. It's not how it's pronounced in a foreign country, it's how we say things. Pronunciations in different languages differ, even if the spelling doesn't.

He could be pretty nippy down the wing to be fair if we fit his chair with a nitro boost.....
