If theres a release clause of £5m, then nobody will pay £6m. There may be stupid money flying around the prem, but clubs wont chuck a million away for the sake of a bunch of greedy Welsh / Malaysian w%^kers saying they want more.
If there is a release clause then its irrelevant how greedy they are as they have no say in the matter if the clause is met. But is there a release clause?

Liverpool ignored Suarez bid from Arsenal which apparently did trigger the release clause, but their owner decided the contracts in football aren't wort the paper they are printed on.
Which brings me to why do QPR have to honour Remy's release clause?

The word 'apparently' is probably the important word there.
Without knowing the details of any clause, it's impossible to know what the club/player can or can't do.
But £5mill was reported to be his release clause? We dont have to give them any more if thats the case.
if i remember right suarez was 40m and arsenal offered 40m and a pound and was turned down so it can be rejected but i think we should just pay the extra and get this done

Liverpool got away with it as they convinced suarez he was better off staying and eventually gave him a new contract. If the player is not interested in the move then the deal is off. Remy wants to play champions league football so if the clause is met by one of those clubs he will be eager to move

The deal is done, people need to ignore the national newspaper rubbish that westlondonsport copies.
Medical tomorrow has been reported by very good sources in South Wales, Dave Mc and SSN.
As much as i'd like to get optimistic, nothing's done until they've finalised a medical and signed on the dotted line. I'd only get excited if we heard from a proper club source that the deal has been signed subject to passing a medical, in which case it's effectively a formality as our medicals are so easy even glass players like Dyer, Johnson and Zamora sail through them.....
Apparently Isla has not flown over today as expected and now his deal is in the balance, according to the Independant. Sorry don't know how to post the link.

Oh no. Thought that cancelled flight story sounded a bit fishy.
