Potentially denying their own fans a ticket to a London derby?
Pretty big deal if the club don't think we'll sell 3k tickets and won't cover the risk.
Doesn't give the right message to investors looking at possible funding for a new stadium either.
Why bother with a 30k or more home ground when you have no confidence in your fan base to sell a tenth of those tickets to a stadium 10 miles round the North Circular.

But we never took 3k tickets in the first place Johnny and im not convinced we have sent back any of the tickets that we did request why would we when Yousef rightly indicates there are four stages of sales still to go???
Think someone has thrown a hook and few people have taken it
Don't think investors in a new ground will give one Iota about away numbers there going to be interested in what we can produce at home and home alone

Massive box office hit TBF, so if they are going to base it on that, I'm sure there will be plenty of investment

But taking the lower amount is totally unconnected to sending back two blocks which this thread is about and which would appear to be totally fabricated
Im like you I think we should take the max amount of tickets for London derbies and we should sell them out but someone posted our average away taking is 1300 so there will be plenty of tickets for those that don't normally go. Its not an acceptable reason but the grounds were visiting now will have been done by many the last two seasons we were up and the novelty will have worn off. I say get out and support your team in person but would not look down on some fans who have done Spurs a number of times over the years who choose to pocket the cash and watch it on a stream
The end of last season was expensive, its school holidays and money will only stretch so far so if people swerve a few games in August I can totally understand
Would also like to think when deciding on an allocation the box office are looking at historical data of how well me have shifted tickets for relevant games and if there was demand remaining after they had sold out
We can't blame the club, we've cost them fortunes in the past! If people actually bothered with away games then there wouldn't be a problem. Expect to take the largest possible sale or return allocations all season which will mean roughly 1,500-2,000 tickets every game, with the exception of Chelsea.
If we regularly sell out the allocations and get on to TF about it, maybe we'll get the bigger allocations. Not taking the full allocation for any London game is poor to be honest, the same with games at United, Liverpool, City etc but we're not the best travellers, it's more the same faces always travelling and our average would be around the 1,500 mark this season regardless of allocation sizes.
