Let's be honest, he is good Championship midfielder so why waste one of the 25 names on him. Would rather we sign Jordan Mutch or any better mdfielder.
Good luck to Gary O´Neil. Not sure he was used in the right position, but deffo a player With a nouse for tactics, I think he will be a valuable player for Norwich in the CC.
Absolutely terrible from the club to make an offer then withdraw it. It seems it happened with Rio too (changing terms). This needs to stop immediately, it's as unprofessional as can be, we're a Premier League club ffs! Maybe this is why our transfers seem to take a month to complete, the board messing around with contracts!
Saying all the above, released O'Neil was the correct decision, so we got there in the end.
Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes

Don't players do the same, accept an offer, then get offered something better so they withdraw it.
I think letting him go was a sane decision. We can't keep all of them and to be honest the same should have applied to BZ. But the way it appears to have been done opens the club up to criticism, rightly or wrongly. Another PR own goal.
