Is this situation with Remy all that different?
Why not wait to see what his attitude is like before crucifying him, or wait to see how many goals he scores for us - goals which could be crucial in whether we survive or not.
Do you remember what his goal stats were last time he played for us in the prem? Quite good, weren't they, but its easy to dismiss that because you happen to have some issues with his alleged iffy character. Redknapp says he's never been a minute's problem and has a good professional attitude, and he hasn't said the same about all our players in the last 18 months.
There's no doubt that if Remy doesn't get the move away he wants, clubs in champions league need only apply, btw......His goals will be important for our prospects of consolidating our premier league place.
But, I'm not going to go all doey-eyed when he walks out the door in January.
Joey Barton says, and does things, in the heat of a moment. Remy/his agent have a plan that they've been working towards almost from the moment they arrived, and part of that plan was Queen's Park Rangers Football Club being nothing more than a stepping stone on their journey to bigger and better things.
I don't care if that's the way of the football world these days, I don't like it, never will, either.

I can confirm that Remy is set to stay until January. The release clause is only for Premier League clubs, so with Liverpool and Arsenal out of the running it the only other team interested is Newcastle, and Remy would much rather stay in London and play Premier League football than move back to the North East. This is also beneficial for Arsenal, who are likely to sign Remy in January if he hits top form again or if they suffer any injuries to strikers (not cup tied for the champions league and only £8m transfer fee). If no one comes in for Remy this year and we stay up the clause is still active unfortunately, so another good 6 months or season in the Premier League without re-negotiating his contract and we are likely to lose him.TWITTER

Anyone that thinks getting rid of Remy is a good move is deluded. We won't get a better striker than him in.
And all this talk about attitude is bowlocks.Loyalty is gone from football,it's just a salary chase these days.
Even players like fat Frank think they can dictate who they choose to play against FFS!.
Football is just a money driven job,no different to ours.We would all quit our jobs for a big salary hike without a care and football is no different these days. Some need to move with the times.

Also "still wants to be almost anywhere but QPR, I'd be his biggest fan" is a load of nonsense. TF has already confirmed Remy has turned down moves in order to stay at Rangers. The lad wants Champions League football, which player doesn't? He hasn't moaned once or disrespected the club by trying to force moves through. If he wants Champions League football that much then he'd take a pay cut surely? Or maybe he's happy with Rangers, now that we're back in the Premier League and will only move if the deal is right.
Who's to say the Arsenal deal fell through just over wages? Don't believe all you read in the media. I'd have it down as Remy didn't get the assurances he needed that he would be often starting for Arsenal in his preferred position plus the fact he had to take a big pay cut.
