I really do not know how this clause will work in January, since positions in the league can change every week and some teams will no longer be in the Championship League. Sometimes the most unexpected teams can be near the top around Christmas time and finish up struggling not to go down.

I have to agree with W12 in as much as I would rather any player not be here if they didn't want to be. Plenty do.
Many on here are of the opinion that QPR is a very good option for good players to join. Sorry to disappoint but most neutrals would probably say QPR is a club that seems to be going nowhere. An 18000 capacity joke of a stadium and a Board that seemingly no little about running a successful club. QPR may have ambitions of building a new stadium and training ground etc, but players are interested in the here and now, not 5 years down the line.

It's also a very realistic situation that he can score enough goals up until January to save us from relegation...

I look at it this way, would we turn our noses up at a proven Premier League goal scorer on loan until January? If we do ok, and no one comes in for him he could be here for a year. Can anyone guarantee that any of our new signings will be here in a year? No of course not. So why cut our nose off to spite our faces?
Austin's game can only improve from working with Remy also imho.

What if Austin is dropped for a player for 3 months who will be off at the first opportunity, what will that do for his progress, moral and confidence. No one has ever questioned Remys ability but sometimes you have to do what's right for the team and dressing room instead of trying to sound like Alan Shearer on MOTD.
Also nobody wants him, so what shall we do? Let him rot?
Constant speculation is not good, nonsense! That's football, every good player will always be linked with moves away. In fact, it's more advantageous for a club like ourselves if our players are, as it means they need to perform week in week out to keep the big clubs interested.
I agree dropping Charlie for 3 months wouldn't do him any good but it's not as if Charlie isn't going to get a kick is it? Some weeks we'll play 2 up front, other weeks Charlie will lead the line. It's strong competition for places and Charlie should thrive on playing and training with someone like Remy. It will make Charlie be a better player and bring the best out of him.
Doing what's right for the team and dressing room is having a class striker who everyone knows will get 15+ a season in the Premier League. Don't you see that as a boost? People (not saying you) are being so short sighted with regards to keeping last seasons squad together etc. Well, it's virtually impossible to do in our position if we want to survive as we did the cheap option last season and half our team were on loan, so we've got no option but to bring in a lot of players again. The key point is bringing in the right type, something we have done, along with keeping the same squad, not team.

Great post Matty. I am absolutely flabbergasted by some of the comments about remy on here. Any other team would kill to have Remy in their first 11 let alone squad. He guarantees goal and as it goes we have had a right touch even if he stays to January.
All this he doesnt want to be here and has direspected the club is a absolute joke and the ones who say it to me demonstrate a lack of common sense and understanding.
He went to newcastle in a wc year to make sure he got a place at the world cup. It also meant we didnt have to pay 80 k a week in the championship. He played class at newcastle and the top four coming sniffing in which in his contract he has a clause that he can speak to them if they meet our valuation which we agreed with him.
Who are we to stop remy from signing for liverpool, he deserved that move and I think they are stupid to pull out of it.
Remy is a asset to our team not a liabillity. Enjoy him while hes here because I never thought hed play for us again but if he does, just enjoy it.
Really cant believe there is a debate about wanting remy here or not.
