If harry lands this isla lad added to caulker and ri, I think that shows our intention in the market. All class acts and the club will be working hard on more midfield and attacking options. We have brought well so far.
Cant believe their is a thread about Harrys transfer dealing last year when we got Austin, Simpson and phillips. All class signings for that league. hes just landed caulker to which is a top signing and rio only came because of Harry.
Yes things are going a bit slow but its not the end of the world. We need to get a grip.
I think you clearly missed the point.. It wasn't players at the start of the season.. My query was about jan transfer deadline when our season had flatlined and it felt like the board hadn't backed Harry to get up.

Funnily enough after the purported interest in Isla, giavinco, Mitch and fer I feel much better.. Good age of player with great potential and current ability.

My OP wasn't knocking anyone it was concern that with 15 days to ho we had a threadbare midfield and one and a half strikers until Remy sorts out whete he wants to be,

It was not a $hitstir but genuine concern and as previously stated I would feel much better if I felt more like Del.

Do us all a favour and font trivialise or turn n people tha font share you abundant optimism... I wouldn't even say I'm a pessimist .. More a realist and realise that with our current squad (bar our defence) we are going to struggle.

I love the way those with doubts are told to get a grip.....

Put it this way, even if we add the kind of players we need to make a decent fist of staying up - and we all agree that is a pretty big if - we will have managed exactly what we were told wasn't going to happen: an 11th hour trolley dash. Not an ideal preparation (again). And that would be the best possible scenario.

I think those with concerns are the ones with a grip on reality......

Seems it's always the same old people who keep digging out those who are concerned with the relatively slow progress we've made in the transfer market. You can't have a conversation on here these days without the usual suspects jumping down your throat and telling you to get a grip.

I've got concerns as well. It's not just a question of signing players and putting them straight into the team. We don't know if any potential signings have done much pre-season training, and it will take some time for them to get to know their new team mates and learn our new system. Even our existing squad seem to be taking its time making the adjustments if some of the friendlies are anything to go by.

And the new season starts in two weeks time....
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

we all have doubts thats normal but some of the doubts are blown well out of proportion and thats when I say get a grip. When people challenge harrys buying poilcy from last year I think its a joke. His actual buys for the club were class signings all at a good age and long term investments.
People moan about the way we look in pre season when we havent even played our best 11 yet - moaning after the southend game that we are goinng to get d***** on when anyone who took the time to look at that squad knows that maybe 1 or at the most 2 of those players would be in the first 11 maybe the matchday squad and the rest wont be anywhere near it.
We have decent people at QPR in Harry and Tf and still 2 weeks before a ball is kicked in anger. If we bring in 3 or 4 next week then we are doing bloody brilliant imo.
