well that was very inspiring for the season ahead.

I know it is much about fitness levels, but tbh, the shape of the team does not look right.
the defence is far too shaky and the attack is powderpuff.

guess this is ehat happens ehen thetransfer deals are done late in pre season.
stil 4 more games to go; southend, an Irish mini tour and PAOK.
hopefully a team that more resembles the opening day one will be seen in at least the last 3 games.

We dont even have what is likely to be our best 11 yet.

Need 2 or 3 in by the time we leave for Ireland otherwise it's not looking good.

I know it's only pre-season but I've been very underwhelmed with all three of our games so far. We really need a playmaker - Niko isn't the answer. He looked overweight last season and he seems to get injured quite often. Rio should give us a bit of composure and leadership at the back and Remy (if he stays) will give us some class and goals upfront. The midfield worries me the most

I think the change of formation is really going to screw us. We would look far more balanced with the players we have back at 4 2 3 1 - big gamble imo harry swapping it to 3 5 2 witho ut even having the players capable of making this change.

when the transfer deals are completed and if and when Remy returns to the team.
dont forget this team to ignt was missing Ferdinand, Onuoha, Faurlin and Phillips who, if fit, would be in the starting line up along with maybe Remy and Taarabt.

what these friendlies have clearly highlighted is that the current squad lacks the quality to survive next season in the Premiership.

Think we have to start fielding our best XI now, then replace players as and when we make new signings.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Yep, not convinced three at the back is the way forward (for us) but hey-ho, thats what Harry seems determined to go with

if he really wants a 3-5-2 he should hurry up and bring in a coach who knows how to make that system work i.e Hoddle. imo the system needs energetic wing backs and a midfielder who drops in deep. to bring the ball forward or a ball playing CB - Ferdinand- to link up the play and no silly long balls like the one Dunne tried in the last 15 mins when he gave the ball asay and LO had a shot saved by Green.

Same. We need 2 centre midfielders to come straight into the team. Barton was our stand out player tonight but we can't pin our hopes on just him. Faurlin is coming back from a serious injury and Henry is self explanatory. 2 midfielders and 2 strikers needed as a minimum.

I think you are missing the point though. its not just the performance but the team.
simpson is no wing back. SWP should not be playing, let alone a full 90 mins.
the midfield has little creativity and the attack is poor.
Also, the defenders dont look comfortable in the formation.
theres pe season rustiness and then there's disjointed displays.
If and when the new signings arrive they will need to hit the ground running otherwise it's going to be groundhog day again on the opening day.

I see another embarrassing home defeat looming.
