Why do people do this to make us look as bad as people that are doing terrible. Last week blackpool, had a bettter squad, this week its southampton. Dont get it, i really dont.
We have lost, Kranjcar, Benayoun, O'Neill, Tom Carroll, JJ, Ravel, Johnson, Doyle out of our main 11 really so I would say at LEAST one of them was a 1st team regular when fit.. We have kept Austin, Barton, Green and Ned, Hill/ Dunne who were the spine yes, so that's good..
We have 17 players who are 100% staying.. I have left out Adel, Remy, Cesar, Jenas, SWP - The rest are EDS as it stands.
Southampton have 16/17 as it stands and that is without counting Rodriguez and Shneiderlin..
We aren't getting the same coverage because the players leaving Southampton are at a diff level to ours.

You cannot deny we have decimated our team from last year Kevin? We have 16 contracted 1st team players now.. 9 of them under the age of 30.
We have kept the core yes but we have decimated the team..
Burnley and Leicester have kept all of theirs not just their core.

They are also in a better position to add better players than us.
Southampton still have.. Clyne, Yoshida, Ward-Prowse, Jack Cork, Ramirez, Jose Fonte, Hooivelt, Tadic, Pelle, the last 2 they have just signed.
What with a hugely more successful youth academy.

It doesn't matter that we've kept our core when our squad is largely shite. And our only two genuine match winners - Remy & Taraabt - look like they'll move on.
People are deluded if they think Dunne Hill SWP Zamora Barton Simpson Henry etc. are going to make the grade this year. That's a good championship side but a ****ing dreadful premiership one.
Southampton have a good academy, lots of cash, a record of spending wisely on players with resale value and a decent manager with good connections. We've got an obsession for free transfers and Arry Redknapp filling his mates coffers.
