Disappointing comments from fans of Henry think he gets an unnecessary hard press
However think a few are missing the bigger picture here yes Fer is an improvement on Henry but if hes part of the deal were no better off squad numbers wise and we will still be short on bodies and looking to sign yet more players to bolster the numbers.

so true West, what people forget is whilst others are not doing loads of business they are starting with a much larger squad in all cases, and in many their squads already have more quality. Like Fernandes but he just doesn't get it right, either spending silly money on rubbish or refusing to meet the demands of decent players. I get it's his money but wish he would just stop tweeting about transfers, do it quietly and stop going on about learning lessons.
If we are to be competitive we need at least 5 ADDITIONS, Granero is going and if Henry does that's 7 needed but just don't see it happening in time. Only three weeks away and this should be the time we are building a team, with our decent early fixtures being wasted if it's not sorted.
At least you know what your going to get with Henry not amazing but also not the worse reliable 7 out of 10 could go and get a new player in who turns out like Mbia!!! People have forgot he came on at Wembley and shored up the centre. Worth a place in the squad in my book perhaps not a player who you want starting 38 games a season but when backs are against the wall or you need to kill a game like Wembley step forward Henry. I would get Fer in but keep Henry too not sure we have another player in squad that would do what he does????

Got nothing against Henry but if we find ourselves starting prem games with him on the teamsheet we best all be ready to go straight back down.

If he goes and Granero goes Kev we literally have no midfield (Barton and Faurlin) and will need too bring in more players to bolster the squad. He was part of the team ethos last season who never really let us down although many moaned about him. Agree in ideal world you don't want him starting but as a squad member to come in when needed he ticks the box. Wont be on a huge wage and regardless of what many think does do what he is asked to do. If were going to bring someone new in to do what he does you can prob add 10k a week to what he currently earns.
For me the squad needs nurturing not a complete overhaul we have been there and done that at great expense and with little reward. If Palace could stay up last season with a squad more or less full of Henry's no reason we cannot with him and some additional quality around it
