        to be fair, he is right to say that he wants players who have proved themselves here rather than wait to see kif they settle. QPR tried that with Granero & Mbia and it failed.

        It can work if you have a settled capable squad and have time to settle an overseas player, bit QPR don't really have that.

        Hopefully Granero will be settled now and can have a good season that justifies the gamble Hughes took to bring him here.

          It's narrowed down to an English striker rather than a British striker so that definitely rules out players like Rhodes.

                  I think he means that he wants a striker who is proven in England (preferably the Premiership) to work with Charlie. I think that makes sense but is not easy to find.

                      I thought he said English striker. If it was a proven striker in England, it could mean foreigners, which he seems to want to avoid.
