I would have quit QPR says Harry if we did not get promoted
Harry always talks about the right sort. So Harry would of jumped ship then even tho he's in
Contract. Not te right sort then
Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
Harry wasn't talking about jumping ship, he was talking about retiring due to age. Quite different scenario's and nothing like the mercenary players we had playing for us.
i`d still prefer Glenn Hoddle , the reality of another season of boring football under Redknapp dosn`t thrill me ,premier league or not
Playing with THREE CENTRE BACKS FFS!
I really hope it doesn't come to that.

Don't agree Rich. No we're PL he's staying, if we weren't would of left. That's jumping ship in my eyes

Nothing new here, everything TF & HR have been saying since pre Wembley indicated that if we didn't go up, the rebuild would start under a new guv'nor. This was the case until the 90th minute. It's also why various people pointed out that going up would bring a whole new set of problems, like putting a side together fit for purpose in the prem, a process which is underway. It was never going to be simple.
Regarding the eventual succession, I would take Hoddle any day. Maybe that day will come - Harry can't go on forever, he must be the senior statesman manager wise. Meanwhile if there was any way of bringing in his successor as an assistant at some point, that would be a very smart move. Paul Clement for example. Hopefully he would be another contender. Older Rs will remember that was they way Liverpool did things back in their pomp. Much less disruptive.

Now, TBF Rich, isn't Harry the same age he would have been if we didn't get promoted?

I'm not moaning about anything Dave. What do you think I am moaning about?
Edit: I will be moaning if we play the same boring football we played last year though - and I reserve the right to do so!

We must have the largest assemblage of female fans in the country and by female I mean moaning, bitçhy little male girlies.
And in other news, spotty little twelve year old girl talks big and trolls on the Internet! Can be found in the toilet when trouble starts in the real world.

Apologies ds ...i thought you were complaining that Harry was still our manager and playing with 3 at the back. I don't think playing 3 cb's will be boring.....could make us more
difficult to beat which is a good thing and could really suit us with Rio being one of the 3, passing on his know how to Ned or another younger cb.
Be interesting to see whether Harry still has the hunger to build a young, ambitious squad or whether our squad will resemble the cast of This Is Your Life with every old lag from Harry's former clubs. Personally think there was an argument for being ruthless after promotion and saying "thank you very much Harry for getting us promoted, now go and enjoy a very well earned retirement." Then bring in a young manager who is interested in tactics and knows about young up and coming players. But we have chosen to stick for reasons I understand and I will certainly be supporting him this season as I have all our other managers. The whole club is going to need a heck of a lot of support as can see this turning into one rough season.
