Hopefully HR will try & stabilize & also plan for the future, even though I doubt he will be here for it, & will leave/be pushed, depending on results. Unfortunately I think he will just try & survive & leave next season with us hopefully still in PL & his rep in tact, rather than build for the future. A bit similar to the way AF left Man U.

Personally think there was an argument for being ruthless after promotion and saying "thank you very much Harry for getting us promoted, now go and enjoy a very well earned retirement." Then bring in a young manager who is interested in tactics and knows about young up and coming players. But we have chosen to stick for reasons I understand and I will certainly be supporting him this season as I have all our other managers. The whole club is going to need a heck of a lot of support as can see this turning into one rough season.
Good post. I think we, as a home crowd could make a big difference as well this season.

A 67/68 year old trying (again) to get us up from the stress of the championship is different to plying his trade where he's spent 90% of his time.

It's 2 very different scenarios, some would argue staying up is just as hard but one Harry is obviously keen to undertake!

No worries Dave! I'm not complaining that Harry is still our manager but I did not enjoy the football we played last season and don't want to see more of the same this season - that is my point. However, it remains to be seen whether that will be the case and I have an open mind but the thought of three CBs does not fill me with hope!

I know I do moan on occasion, like most including you (!), with the possible exception of tw, but this is a message board and if nobody complained about anything they disagree with it would be a very boring one! Personally, I have never accused anybody of moaning - if I disagree with their complaint I will just make my case.

I understand Rich, it was just a quip. But I'm not sure I agree that a season trying to get out of the Championship is any harder than a season trying to stay in the Premier League, even though most of Harry's managerial career has been spent in the top flight.

I bet he would not have waived his compo though.
