  • First 5 Games This Season

I know some may see it as optimistic but looking at our current squad and assuming we sign caulker and keep at least one of Taarabt and remy, looking at our first 5 fixtures, I reckon we could 7-9 points out of them:

    vs Hull City
    @ Tottenham Hotspur
    vs Sunderland
    @ Manchester United
    vs Stoke City

Reckon we will only leave empty handed against United and Spurs to be honest. Hull will be more worried about the Europa League given that they could potentially be playing their qualifier 5 days after their match with us so we could finally win an opening day premier league match at home. Sunderland don't have a really good squad to be honest and seem light defensively, so if we set up right, we could get a win or a draw which I think we all would be happy with. Finally Sjoke will have to visit us and I reckon we will see the most boos at a match since the first Loftus road match against chelsea after the promotion. Can't see Stokes attack truly hurting us when we have caulker and onuoha and with a potential 5 at the back (wing backs), I think we will see a surprisingly big victory against Mark Hughes

We might beat van Gaal's shambles but doubt about getting more than a couple of points from the rest of the matches.

Win as many at home as possible. That includes beating the likes of Stoke and Sunderland.

Really dangerous to try and predict the points we will get, leave that to Harry and just watch, hope, pray, enjoy and take each game as it comes.

Obviously correct, but it is all in fun to be honest. We need something to look forward to I suppose and I have nowt better to do at the moment haha

HAHA I know what you mean, I did the same thing last time we were Prem thinking if we beat Wigan, Southampton, West Ham, Norwich, Villa home and away we`re almost safe.. How deluded was I??? Here`s hoping for better this time round.

7 points from those 5 would be my target.

We'd better not come out of them without a win or it will be a long season.

At the end of the day we aren't competing with Utd and Spurs, but the likes of Hull, Sunderland and Stoke are most definitely in our sub league so we should be aiming for at least draws at home against them, but ideally picking up 3 points at home if we want to stay in the league.

definitely think we should be getting 3 points at home on the first day and think out of the following 4 we should average 1 point again so im going for 7 from the opening 5
Points must be taken from sunderland and stoke.

All depends what the ambitions are.. To stay in this league you need to average a point a game. 38 points is normally a safe amount. 5 points out of those games will by no way be considered a bad start. Remember all these clubs are settled premier league clubs. We aren't... Can't expect to much away against spurs and Sunderland ., although hull is at home they seem to be a club on the up and they have jelavic and long up top which is very strong they are fa cup finalists remember.

However if we are to compete in the league we could really do with a victory against Sunderland and or stoke . Going to be tough chaps. We will need the weRTogether this season

I won't predict nothing but the fact we haven't got to leave london till the 4 game might help us but i would love 7 id take 5 though

over 38 games, an average of a point a game will keep us up

we have to get more points against the lower tams than we did last time

points against the top 6 are going to be very hard to come by

Predict all you want mate, it`s a free universe.
All I was saying is that it rarely goes the way you think. What if we have 0 points from the first 5 games? Harry Out again? Season over?
It really doesn`t matter how you start but how you finish.
