Esteban Granero is starting to get used to the idea of staying at QPR during the coming season, where he is at the moment doing pre-season training, rather than coming back to Real Sociedad.

"Granero, who is a midfielder, has been for some days training alongside the other QPR players, and running out as one of the best in the various tasks they have been carrying out, which prompted Harry Redknapp to praise him. "Granero is in great form. He’s a wonderful person and has a good character, he said. He wants to stay here and I hope he has a good season."

      It's a punt.

Might come good. Might adapt to EPL pace. Would benefit from Ale being fit and confident but that is not a given. To get the best out of Granny players around him need to be on the move, creating space. We're not very good at that - we need an injection of pace going forward mid park, especially if Sig comes: he is purely a finisher who needs it served up, like Charlie. Even if Gran and Ale stay and are on song, we still need someone to make the most of that going forward. And even if you play them with AT we still need that bit of pace up there.

There's going to be a few high pressing teams there this year and with a bit of pace and a supply line you can get behind them. We have the possible suppliers and maybe a finisher but still need that bit of speed.
