Hoilett Barton, Granero, Phillips across the middle

    Not too shabby

Think the jury's still out on the fella. He was woeful last time in a Rs top. MK Dons at home? I'd give him another go, mind. We are presently thin in midfield. He could pair well with Joey. Or play in the hole? If he's no good we can offload him in January.

The MK dons debacle. What a horrible game that was and the side put together was full of fringe players and those lacking in confidence. Granero much better than what we saw that day.

Exactly. It was hardly a shining TEAM performance was it, so to castigate individualsbased on that is a bit off.

I hope so Norths. And I'm happy to give Granero a second chance. Has he a better 35 year old brother we could sign up???

Sorry to crash this Granero love party but I can't help but want him to go. Didn't really do to much for us last time considering he was meant to be this sort of Spanish super star from Real Madrid IMO he couldn't get his head around the English game and struggled.... but all that said he was in a shocking team with plenty of bad attitudes and now all that's gone he might settle a bit better..... if he stays I won't right him off... yet

The last time he was here, it wasnt much movement up front and around him and If my memory serves me right, it was Cisse who played up front on his own....Cisse, the statue - not the Dangerous one. But nevertheless, he took too long time on the ball on many occations.

Hope he will suceed this time around, though.

He may have come from Real Madrid but was certainly no superstar and if any fan billed him as such then they only have themselves to blame.

I do agree on the settled team point though, a positive environment will bring the best out of him i think (i hope).

He was never tagged as a superstar, but a very capable player who had played about 100 games for Madrid (MADRID) over the previous 3 seasons, which says he's more than capable. And he wasnt a dud and his quality shone against some of the best teams in the prem when we played City / Chelsea / Spurs 3 games running and he and Faurlin were simply brilliant in the heart of the midfield and for large spelss bossed games against players who cost infinitely more money. There were plenty of other fine performances also, but they stood out.

In the right team and playing style he will prove to be quality im sure and is like another top signing imo.

I think the key thing in there mate, he was part of a p*** poor team with the wrong mentality. I mean what a shock from madrid to QPR to and the prem does take some getting use to for some players. With a decent pre season behind him and a settled atmosphere at the club he might almost be like a new signing and we might get to witness more consistent performances on the scales of the spurs game.

It was only Cisse, but in his defence he got loads of slating with comments exactly like yours, suggesting he was lazy, but then the same people moaned about him always being caught offside without actually asking why....

Firstly he was caught offside because he was making repeated runs and the passes werent being released by the likes of Taarabt when they should've time and time again.

Secondly, how can a striker who is constantly on the move and making runs and subsequently being caught offside due to other players holding onto the ball too long, be classed as a lazy striker.....???

It was and is a contradiction.

He certainly wasn't no super star, but I do remember people banging on about him as if he was.... but we're not exactly spoilt for choice for players to play in the middle, got a few who can cover but no real starters except Joey. So if he does stay he'll have my support.

Good news. A very good footballer.

I wanted him gone as it seemed he wanted out but maybe we were fed some duff info. Fair play if he wants to dig in.

Exactly maids! If you judged him on his performances for qpr alone most would probably want him out. But like you said mate if you take into consideration the team he was in and the transaction from sunny Real Madrid to not so sunny qpr I suppose its only fair to give him a chance.
