If we bring rio in mate and spend 8 mill on caulker im certain that will be our starting pair.....ned and caulker long term but ned will get plenty of playing time too imo.

I really think when you see him play more will be where im at atm with ned. That yes hes a great player really rate the lad, but when you compare them both your go for caulker every team. Dont let cardiff getting relegate fall you of this boys potential and abillity. Remy is example of a stand out player in a team relegated.
Its why I got so frustrated with the palace story and have been so passionate about this signing. TBH im very surprised a top 6 team are not nicking him. I think everton would if they had that sort of money.
Really hope it comes off so I can watch him closely. I'm one of these that tends not to watch a team too closely if there is no connection to Rangers and I certainly didn't take an interest in the sheep last year but I usually hear about such talented youngsters. Thanks for the info and fingers crossed eh

Genuinely believe he's been waiting for the rio deal to get over line. Think that plays a massive part of him wanting to come to the club. Imagine as a 22 year old getting the chance to partner rio in defence for a season rather than someone like delaney.
        hope you're right mate

I think almost all in here wants Caulker in but Ferdinand is another story.
I for one don't want another +35 years in the end of their career (the other backups are also 35+)

I'd be more concerend with the fact he club wasted money giving Hill another year when he's not good enough for the prem. Dunne would do a job without question when called upon, as would Rio comfortably.

It's good the club are trying to after people like Hill and if he can stay around and get into coaching then it will benefit the club in the long run to have "QPR People" around the place who know what it means to play for us.

It's a shame that some of our fans have the same loyalty as some mercenary players nowadays

i'll be surprised if Rio manages 20 games, so Ned should get enough game time (and rightly so). i reckon Simpson will struggle in the prem too, so we might see him at RB

why is very one so enthusiastic about Clint Hill coaching at the club? he's been a loyal servant and done us well but a career in the lower leagues doesn't imply that he'll be a great coach.

Widely publicized its 35k, same as near on every player we have got and less than swp.

in all fairness mate no one has a clue what hes going to get paid, so many different figures being banded around. It could be half what you said maybe even more.

Redknapp said in interview that Rio wasn't being difficult about money and wasn't greedy and just wanted to play in the PL - so other than the garbage in the press about wages, no one has a clue. If you're going to throw fictional wage figures around, it makes any discussion pointless on here because I could just as easily say I'm seeing a bird that cleans at the Club and she's seen a memo on the manager's desk that says he will be on 2 bottles of pop and a packet of spangles per week

Why should ned be dropped from the team? he was a great player for us last season and his reward is to be bombed out to the subs bench? what sort of message would that send out to the other players who got us up! i seem to recall us doing the same thing the last time we came up and look where that got us! be careful what you wish for is all im saying, its so easy to upset a settled dressing room!
LONDON CALLING TO THE ZOMBIES OF DEATH.... ALSO KNOW AS BRENTFORD FANS

It is harsh mate but ned will also get plenty of playing time imo. I think between the 3 of them they will all get 20 - 30 games.

I think we should bomb out all of our best championship performers, and replace them with aging has-beens with no affinity for the club. Ned for Rio, Charlie for Defoe, Simpson for Lescott, and Lampard for Barton would do me nicely. Then we'll have rightful ownership over the 'everything wrong with football' tag every other team has labelled us with.
