IMO I do feel the club will sign some decent young players this window but it will all depend on Rio coming in if he comes I think others will follow.

If reports are to be believed, he was on £200k a week at Man Utd, and wants £80k a week to join us.

That's way too much for a player in the twilight of his career for a club our size IMO.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I read somewhere that the offer for Rio was around 35k a week plus add on's, a bit like Cole's deal at Roma. Anyone guess what the add on's are?
My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.

hopefully he will lift the mood far better than the signing of Park from Man U did.

I would not offer more than £30-35K pw with a huge bonus if QPR stay up.

I don't think money's Rio's motive, don't get me wrong he wont play for peanuts but let's face it there's a hell of a lot of clubs out there that would pay him a lot more (premiership, US etc). All he wants do is play for a team he likes and not at a really high level with expectations (UTD, City, Chelsea, Liverpool etc). HR IMO is a massive reason he's coming here. Hes obviously known him since he was a kid (Rio that is). And apparently a few of the players are starting to follow him on twitter so they probably got a bit of banter going on. I genuinely think he's coming here because he wants to play for qpr not the cheques.
