Wow some clarity finally, and it would make sense as to why no one has snapped him up.

Also like the Ferdinand news. 30-40k basic with incentives would be a great deal. I'd wager there is some truth in those figures too. Most papers copy each other and just assume 70k+

Very interesting, mr bond. Much as i take anything in the dismal daily mirror with a sack of salt there is a weird kind of logic to this. IF this is true might explain tony's confidence and and also why remy hasnt gone yet. Maybe, just maybe, those sounding off about the club for agreeing a release clause might owe our bean counters a wee apology? Cant see him going to arsenal, they have enough strikers now, the danger remains liverpool imho.

They've just loaned out Iago Aspas too, does that just leave them with Sturridge and Lambert?

Can't wait to see what the next version of this imaginary clause is.

Quite shrewd if true. His wish was our move to always be a stepping stone to a top 4 side, so by making that clause the lowest, it would appease him to sign.

That said, when Liverpool will get £75m for Suarez, they'd be mad not to snap up a guaranteed goal machine for £8m.... Same for Arsenal so I still expect he'll depart.

Arsenal now have six strikers inc one they have just paid 33m for think we can assume he will start, plus geroud (spelling?) walcott, campbell - who looked great in the world cup - among them. They run a v tight ship and if u go on arsenal boards they are absolutely shocked by the 80k wages (where for us that's just normal).

I think melanie is right about liverpools front line striker options. They have been linked to bonny and have cash to burn now. U wd expect them to bring in at least one more big name striker.

I'd worry about spurs - I reckon they would pay the 11 mill for him. Liverpool depends on what bony does I guess he seems their number 1 target.
Maybe just maybe we might actually keep Remy. What a bonus that would be.

I think sanchez mainly played as a winger for barca so it will be interesting to see how arsen see's it.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Agree about spurs. The only club apart from us to sign anyone. The fans will expect a big name signing plus many don't rate soldado and the new manager I doubt will be as patient

Am the only one on here displeased by the thought of having Remy back?????? Can't see how he'll fit in with the notion of #findaway and #bandofbrothers....
