Remy's wage demands putting off suitors

I hope the club never again enters into such a contract with a player.
In future, we sign a player for four years, we should at the very least expect that player to play at least two consecutive seasons, no matter what division we're in.
More especially, if we are paying that player a damn good wage, as well.

Thing is, his presence wasn't worth the sort of contract that shows a massive disrespect to our football club.
Whoever Remy thinks he is, he is not bigger than Queen's Park Rangers FC.

We only got him as Harry said we can be a stepping stone to the elite teams.
Remy don't think he's bigger than qpr but the truth is he is. Easily a top four or six.striker and we can't give him that. He would of gone this summer no matter what.

Look, we'll have to agree to disagree here.
I'm one of those people who will never accept that any player on our books, any player who has agreed to sign a contract and play for Queen's Park Rangers, any player who didn't feel they were too good for QPR, as Remy obviously didn't, because he quite happily signed on the dotted line quick enough, I will never accept that such a player is bigger than our club.
Once you start giving players the idea that they are bigger than the club that handsomely employs them, you only make a rod for your own back.
Anyways, as I have stated before, I hope our club has the good sense in future, no matter what position we are in, to avoid the 'I'm too good for you' brigade.

We'd never have got him if there wasn't a sweetener of some kind in the contract. He came in, and did what we asked him to. Not going to slate him for that
It was a risk worth taking, even if it didn't pay off overall, and certainly not something to criticise the club for. Plenty of other signings that worked out as far, far worse business.

If a serious offer is made for Remy it will be made public one way or another to encourage other clubs to make an offer. He is a QPR player, getting promoted was probably a worst case scenario for him. Just like Taarabt may have to do and to a lesser extent what Barton had to do is come back to Loftus Road with your tail between your legs and play for the worlds greatest team on a very lucrative contract.

We took a gamble to try and stay up. We approached him and made these promoses not the other way round.
Someone above saying we shouldn't have bothered because it didn't work, well it nearly did and he did very well for us in 15 games or so that he played. We were desperate, hence big money signings in Jan for Samba and Remy and we offered what we had to at that time.
