As I posted the other day, this cd be the one factor that might just keep him with us. Buy out clause or not, there is nothing stopping TF offering Remy an improved contract and putting off other clubs. If we really are mad enough to pay Ferdinand £80,000 a week, I wd prefer to spend that money to keep Remy.

If thats true then arsenal are mad. Hes a goalscorer, french international and scored goals in a rubbish qpr team and a average newcastle team. Put him in a top four team and he'll bang them in. 80k for a striker of his calibre in this day of age is a snip and when you see they are paying more than double to other stars you can understand why remy is putting his foot down.
Even selling him for 10 mill is a bloody bargain. I mean if we are suppose to believe mcormack went for 11 mill then something is seriously wrong. He's the 1 player atm Id love tf to sit down and go look son give sign a 3 year deal, we'll give a 25 k a week pay wise bit we will put in another release clause 15 mill and you can go next summer. Gives us the year we all wanted from him, gives us a hell of a chance to stay up and remy can go next year why we scout for a new signing.

two up front would leave us way too open, especially as our centre-mid will be pretty terrible in the PL
In the unlikely but wonderful scenario that Remy stays with us next season I'd either play him cutting in from the wing in a 433ish formation, or drop Austin and play Remy with (again, unlikely) Adel behind him and two direct wingers also making runs. Phillips + AN Other. The Remy/Adel combo looked great towards the end of 12/13
