  • Toon and L'pool in for Remy?

Numerous reports this morning that Newcastle are in talk to sign Loic after his Arsenal move has apparently stalled.

Not sure we shouldn't just keep him, bloke turned them down to sign for us. I say offer him a new contract WITHOUT a release clause in it... Give him an extra £10k a week. Job done?

Well, he's proved he can score goals in this league with two clubs. He averages around one every two games so I wouldn't mind if the club gave him a better contract.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Agree mate, it's like us when we kepp going back for the same player that keeps turning us down. Madness.

Anyway, point is valid. If he's not going to Arsenal, surely we gotta keep this guy? Little sweetner in his contract, get that (alleged) clause out. Would love to see him in a free role behind Chas up top.

Remy won't go back up there. He's been quoted a load of times as saying he wants to be in London, unless Man Utd, Liverpool or Man City come knocking I don't see him going up north!

No chance newcastle, not because we our a bigger club but on the sheer fact they are not a european team, there is no reason to sell to them. If he's not going to a top four or 6 team then we keep him as he would be instrumental in us staying up.

Lets not get it twisted - newcastle ARE a bigger team then us. Facility wise, stadium wise and the fact they have been established in the prem pretty much since it started bar 1 year I believe. The thing is we are a ambitious team now and we have to compete with the like of Newcastle. We cant stand in the way of remy if a club like arsenal come knocking but we shouldnt be selling our best assets to direct rivals now.

The only difference between Newcastle & QPR is a lot more people go to watch sh*te at Newcastle.
