As much as I enjoyed the goal, result and day on 23rd May, if Zammo goes I won't lose any sleep. Personally I think he would struggle in the PL again, if we are all honest the best part of last season he was being crucified by most of us.

Good luck in finding a new club and all the best

Don't be ridiculous lads .....we have to keep Green. Great goalkeeper for starters and we need to keep some continuity in the squad. I do think the position of gk is very important
for this reason and he is more than good enough for us

That's the way to put it.......not how the OP expressed it!

This is the key. If he can do better elsewhere, more power to him. We need to ensure that what we are paying is in line with everybody else. Perhaps a little more for players we really want, but not so much that nobody will touch them even on a "free"!

Zamora rejects initial contract offer from QPR

However, talks are continuing with the 33-year-old striker, who was offered a one-year deal on significantly reduced wages...

The Bobby Zamora of the play offs would be a tremendous asset next season. However, I can't help wondering how motivated he would be if we sign him on "significantly reduced wages".

Anyway, I really like the approach we are taking with our contracts now. Reasonable pay and durations that make sense. This will certainly help us to get our financial house in order.

Looks like we are trying mate. If he presumed millwall would offer him more money than us shows how little he must be being offered by us to stay eh.

He can't move basically. Love him for that thing but get real, EPL redundant.

Give him a kiss and let him go.

Bottom end of the Prem or Championship is his standard these days. I hope the club don't let him take the p*ss, regardless of his heroics in the play-offs!
I agree. He is 33 years old has a poor recent fitness record and not a particularly good goals per game ratio, so £30/40k per week is a good offer and he will struggle to get a better one.

Zamora could do worse that recall that Buzsaky rejected his offer 2 years ago and went on to regret it as he slowly drifted down the leagues before leaving the UK.

Probably more a case of different opinions. Some people want him to stay. Some people not. Same feelings then and now.

My pennies worth = agree with the some of the above. Stay for 1 year, reduced £££'s.
