If Messi is to be 100% talked about as the best ever he will need to perform in this game and lift the cup come full time.
For me the Germans will be to strong though and win comfortably 2-0

Unfortunately I have to totally disagree.
We should be supporting Germany, also they have been by far the best team in the competition and they 'derserve' to win the cup.
I do have a dislike for south americans sides and you go on mate about the great brazil team and you mentioned Rivaldo but all I can think about is when the bloke went down like he broke his leg after the ball was passed back to him firmly when he was about to take a corner.
We should support the european side, infact I wanted Holland to win it but Germany will get my full support.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

As long as it is a better game of football on Sunday than the thuggery that went on in the last final I couldn't care less who wins. I do have Germany in the sweepstake at work but the difference between 1st and 2nd is just £4, so not concerned.
Lets hope to see all the players give 100%, Messi on form is a joy to watch and the German goalie is a class on his own.I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Always seemed to me Germany playing England was no different to them playing Holland or France, where as we always talked things up like it was the biggest game of all time when playing them.
Argentina on the other hand seems more mutual. They as a nation hate the English, and that's fine with me as I ****ing hate those dirty 5c.um *****
They got their bums kicked a few years back in the falklands after years of chirping up and givinig it the biggun, And then they skulked off and went back under their rock. now a new generations starting to get all mouthy again and they need to learn when to keep it zipped. part of me hopes they do invade the Falklands again, so this current lot can get the crap kicked out of them, and hopefully we can have a bit of peace and quiet without all these soppy banners being held up before kick offs by their national team.
Must have hurt, getting turfed out of a place on your doorstep by some nation half way on the other side of the globe. They should have been embarrassed then, and they still should now.
Spot on mate- hate the t***s. They have a obsession over us and I hope they invades soon, even with our limited force we still smash them. They keep banigng on about and appealing to the world blah blah, but they know we got a nice nuclear submarine running tests near by - good luck with that.

Have a great respect for Germany and I don't buy the hatred towards us thing. I know plenty of them and have spent many good times in their company. Can't do enough to make you comfortable and happy when you go there - and the efficiency and cleanliness they aspire to is second to none. Plus they do like a damn good drink. Their football is impressive, including the domestic set up and they have been the best outfit throughout this tournament by a Country mile.
Will never forgive the other lot for '86, cheating of the highest order and the Beckham affair in '98 wasn't far short either.
Forget the politics, this is a football question and Germany to win all day long for me#standuptocancer

don't hate either teams we are just jealous as we are shite and keep going on about the hand of god, give it up for FFS like the only thing got to hold onto for that defeat lets not forget every player he took on for the greatest goal ever blame them. Owen never dived in 2002 did he? Gerrard doesn't dive does he? be the same if france or Italy in the final we hate the French we hate the Italians. Even their hooligans from both Germany & Argentina would batter ours.
