By the end of next week I bet we will look back and think what all the worry is about. I believe signings are imminent and a lot of stuff will be going on behind the scenes. The club and tf have just learnt to shut up and there isn't the same communication with the fans that has previously been. It's a good thing imo.

No mate. LR is no longer a last pay day for those past their prime. No quick fixes. It takes time to bring in quality of the right age for the right money, yes TF should have begun with that mindset but make no mistake, he's sussed it.

Chaps if RIO is one of the players announced next week, would this make the ITK correct, that deal was done in advance but TF was not going to pay him his massive salary for the last how ever many weeks, due to fact getting paid by BBC at World cup and he would be on payroll from when he rocks up, some people on here think TF is mug and still shelling out cash for nothing. Also even if its 4 weeks money saved hoe many admin staff wages for the year or more does that cover. Makes me laugh how people think everyone get paid from July 1st till June 30th regardless. Take each persons deals on its on merits not all the same, would you pay RIO while at World Cup, i would say fair play TF if he is saving his cash even if its only over a period of up to 6 weeks.

Imagine the uproar from the usual negative posters if Rio had been formally presented as a signing and when the players are back in pre season training (yesterday) he is still in Brazil working for the BBC.

I personally think the Rio deal is done but being held back as tf doesn't want this as our first announcement. Imagine the flack he will get for signing a 35 year old on big wages again after repeatedly saying not going down that route. If he can camouflage this deal by announcing it say alongside caulker or 1 or 2 more younger Signings he can argue we have invested in youth this time.
