Didn't matter then but next season you can't make those sort of errors. He was first choice in the Prem but his errors and confidence was soon shot after a couple of games Hughes had to bring in another keeper.

As I say I give Green all the kudos in the world for last season. Performed well overall and was immense at Wembley. I hope for the world if he is our number 1 next season he makes no errors and plays blinders every week and people can hammer me on here. I just think if he does make an error or two that is costly, all those that defend him now will soon jump on the bandwagon a few of us are already riding.
I don't who you think we will get who won't make a mistake. Look at it this way everytime green's name comes up the cesar campers say what about wba home ...everytime it's wba home, greeno's only mistake inthe prem
Whereas my hero the brazilant cesar there are a catalogue of errors to be highlighted

That is just off the top of my head of games in that season where Cesar made a number of crucial saves in games to help us get a point or 3. I suggest you either go to a game and watch the action or get some glasses if you missed it.

You not go to the opening game of the season against Swansea when he pushed that Michu shot into the net after about 10 minutes?? That was a massive error.

For the record errors lead to goals and are simply down to the keeper. I don't remember a clear error from Cesar in the Prem which led to a goal? Enlighten me though please.

West Ham Away 1 1 had it not been for Mbia Arsenal away he would have pulled a result off too

Yep forget about West Ham away. I wanted to mention the Arsenal performance as he was brilliant. But we ultimately lost as you say cause of Mbia madness.

Some football fans here think a goalkeeper is good if he pulls off some fine saves. But that is only a tip of the iceberg and by far the easiest job in goalkeeping. Cesar is a showman and does that occasionally well. But he does the core work badly and that's why I think he did not have a good season for us.

stoke away rooted to the spot for adam's goal

Better competition for Greeno is definitely needed in the prem.

Non crisis has been resolved. Green has signed for two years and Cesar shipped seven lovelies against Germany. Looking forward to Rob being number one and Brian being number two next season.

We will have the best moral - hope it gets us a lot of points
