  • Nike ends Manchester United kit deal after 13 years

Nike is ending a 13-year deal to manufacture Manchester United's football kit.

In a statement, the American sportswear company said "we are now focusing on exciting up and comers such as Queens Park Rangers, rather than giants of yesteryear who may take some time to return to former glories".

Nike is ending a 13-year deal to manufacture Manchester United's football kit, saying the terms "did not represent good value".
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

Lot's of clubs jumping off the Nike ship it seems. Although Nike seem to have ended this partnership, big clubs like Arsenal (who have gone to Puma) and Juventus (who are leaving Nike for Adidas for next summer) must know something if they're all jumping ship.

I guess we'll find out when the season starts, will have to wait another 5 years to change again.
