  • Pete Doherty talked about QPR at the Libertines gig yesterday at Hyde Park.......

Anyone go and know what he said. Would have loved to have gone to the gig, but was at the cricket instead yesterday.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Once he has cleaned up mentally and socially, I would love to see him back associated with our club.

Loved the Libertines music. Hope the penny drops soon with him.

You never know. A lot of heroin treatments in today's world than 5 years ago. But you're right, even George Best and Gazza relapsed in their somehow at weaker poison. Fingers crossed he will see that changing his ways will mean seeing his beloved QPR. One day....one day.

I'm a big fan of his and often wonder how closely he follows us these days? Also wonder if he's still banned from Loftus Road or if that was ever even true! Bloke loves the club religiously!
"Imagine a relationship that went wrong but you held on in there for years: that's what it is like supporting a football team. Your loyalty to a team can never die. Ties are stronger than they could ever be with a woman. If she goes and sleeps with your best mate, it's over. If the Rs' boss, Ian Holloway, slept with my best mate, QPR would still be my team. Even if many of the things that you loved about going to matches have gone - terraces, team shirts without sponsors and being able to smoke at grounds - you still stick with your team." - Peter Doherty.

Heroin really is a difficult animal to tame. I've been clean 2 years now but even I still get the urge to chase the dragon on occasions. I don't hold out muck hope for Pete, a much lesser man than myself.

Are drug users banned from going to games then? Christ, imagine our attendances if that was the case...
