Yes, but the Dutch produce a lot of good players though.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Ajax rejected our £5m bid for Siggy and claim we are well short of their valuation.

It is a shìte offer for a goalscorer at a big club playing CL football. Our club is embarrassing sometimes. If Caulker is 8m+ then a goalscorer will be that and some.....if all true obviously!

He is out of contract in 2015, so if they wait they could finish up with nothing. Not sure if any other clubs are interested.

It's quite possible they'll get no improved offer from us or any club, likewise it's possible they'll get more offers from us and other clubs. It's also possible it's a ploy to get a new improved contract at Ajax and it's possible we'll offer him the earth and he'll reject us. Many things are possible.

Thing is we're not in a position to be fvckin around in the market or playing games. Spending wisely now could save a lot of money later on. Bottom line is without investment we are straight back down. Question is, fees wise, where do you draw the line?

A £5m offer says more about our confused attitude to the market than anything else.

We shouldnt be messing around with this - hes a very good striker and not just scored in hollands but scores for iceland regularly. Even picking up for 8-10 mill is very good business. Would love to have him and austin upfront next year.

It is being suggested that Remy is worth 8-10 mill. Do you think he is better than Remy?

A player is only worth what a club is willing to pay, not what a club wants.

The key word you used there was "wisely". No doubt Hughes was telling Tony Fernandez that all the wages and transfer fees he negotiated were "investments". Personally I'm glad if the club is being cautious. For all we know they have other irons in the fire and see who is the best available for the budget. We are not Man City and can't just go in and blow other clubs out of the water.

I like the lad from Iceland. He will be a hit in the Premier. Because he plays in Holland does not make him a bad player. Well, look at Holland at the WC and one could see that they are miles better then most of our Premier superstars. Ok, maybe most of their players nowadays plays in better leagues, however they all started in the Dutch league.

Of course not if you follow qpr you would know that's remy's release clause not his true value which would probably be anywhere between 15-20 mill.
Siggurdsson is easily worth 8 mill in today's transfer maeket.
