If a Forest fan doesn't think he is one of their best two centre backs, then I would be a bit concerned if we were to offer more than we apparently have.

Realistically, but it's a crazy world we live in nowadays. "Not for sale" doesn't mean anything anymore, clubs often just bid until and offer get's accepted. Although - if Southampton didn't get promoted the core of that team would still be playing Championship football!

If so called bigger clubs come in for him there ain't much hope of him coming our way for any sort of fee. On a lighter note seeing as Bobby Zamora gave you Forest fans a whole lot of joy in May any chance of you lot pointing him in our direction
Pre-Kuwaiti era definately, we lost so many great players in the last 5 years on free transfers, or incredibly low transfer fee's. Now we have a safe-guard, we aren't really a selling club anymore which is great to see. You lot better keep your hands off Lansbury though, he is too good to stay in the Championship and I know Harry is a fan.

          yes

yes great post nottingham forest fan and god bless brian clough one of the greatest managers of all time,WELL FIRST OF ALL YOU TURNED DOWN A 5 MILLION BID BEFORE HE KICKED A BALL,we also turned down a 5 million bid for a player called kevin gallen when he was only 18 and it was one of the biggest mistakes of our lives,on the other hand we took only 2 million for rahern sterling who is now a current full england international and valued at 20 million
SO WHAT IS LASCELLES REALLY WORTH WELL 6 MILLION PLUS WE CAN GIVE YOU SCOTTISH 18 YEAR OLD CENTER HALF WHOS 6 FOOT 4 INCHES TALL AND COULD BE A WORLD BEATER
then we can give you another one million when he gets his first full england cap

we dont forget can buy caulker for ten million and he scored 5 prem goals last season with the millions you get from us you can buy 4 very good players a launch a prem challenge as you are at the moment you could stay in this division for ever but with the millions you get from us it could rebuild your team
we once sacrificed clive allen and paul goddard to build a prem bound side so no brainer sell him to us and we buy caulker as well so we lay out many millions but end up with two brilliant center halfs

Appreciate the Forest fan posting and giving us a v gd low-down. I just struggle with the suggestion that he shouldn't be your first choice centre back but is worth more than many proven Prem defenders. I don't know how much your other two centre halves are worth in that case!

Really hope not, I witnessed a despicable piece of cheating by him last season at LR.

Lascellas sounds good but he's not worth more than £5m IMO

He's fast, strong, composed on the ball. If you could compare him to a player (not quality wise, but play style) it would be Vincent Kompany. The more pressure that gets put on a back four the better he becomes and the more he grows as a player, he's been playing alongside Danny 'Calamity' Collins the past few months of the season and still looked good, and that's pretty hard because he's the worst defender positionally to ever grace the professional game and I couldn't count of twenty hands the amount of times Lascelles bailed him out. His family are all basket ball players or have a history in basket ball, that shows you the sort of physicality you are getting with him.

Everybody that's seen him play do believe that he will go onto play for England, including myself. In a few years yet though, he still has a lot to learn, picked up a lot of bookings last year but to say that was his first season that's impressive. It's also impressive that a youngster broke into a Billy Davies side, he is renown for not playing young players, and he almost forced his way into the side literally. With a fully fit Forest back four he still wouldn't be first choice for me, we have Kelvin Wilson & Jack Hobbs ahead of him yet. It's a 50/50 split though, some would put him first choice some wouldn't.

Your bid of £4million was never going to get accepted, we have a chairman that cares about youth development and youth care, we have a manager who cares about youth development and youth care, and all of our coaching staff have the same thought process. We rejected a £5million bid when he was 17 and didn't kick a football as a first-team player, now he is a developed first-team player and could be a good asset to any Premier League team, but he's one for the future. Essentially, only a stupid offer would make us sell. Especially with interest from Man City, Liverpool & Spurs looming, he won't leave us for less than £8million. We aren't looking to sell our best young players.

I will bet my house this kid will go onto play for England, he's the best prospect to come out of the Forest academy for as long as I can remember.
Think you will find there was no bid when he was 17, oldest trick in the book by his agent, but you are right he is a very decent prospect, not worth 8 million but 5 will probably see him leave you. Agent will have a lot to do with it and he showed his colors by claiming the bid to up his profile when he was 17. Wouldn't be that sure he will stay with you, remember you have just recruited a young centre back in Laing who was rumoured to be going to United!
