As previously said, other clubs are already aware about potential deals.

Liverpool spoke to him weeks ago apparently so hardly a secret. Good chance to have another pop at HR though I guess.

Think we have some fans who think football transfers are still conducted like they were in the 70s when it was closed shop chats between player and club. The introduction of agents and mobile technology put a stop to that

Have no doubt some agents are texting other clubs while in the room with club doing a deal for a player saying this is what we have been offered can you top it

If anyone thinks an interview from rednapp will influence a player signing you live on another planet

At what point in my comment did I say anything about the Caulker deal...??

I was saying don't think for a second Harry's some genius who's masterminding the press to his own ends.... he's not very intelligent. The general point is he talks too much and tells the press too much, some of which shouldn't become public, such as Bosingwa's actual wages he blabbed to the media.

Id be happy with his intelligence and a gaff in sandbanks. He's still even mentioned in the next England manager debates.

              What a thicko!!

Breaking news: Only forum members of WATRB were aware we were in for Caulker. Now HR has alerted the world, other clubs will also realise he is available.

                I hate HR.

Harry knows how to use the media. The man is a football manager and a relatively successful one at that. He knows more about the game than all us lot put together. I don't care if
he's no professor he knows his job.

Sure, but to what end? It isn't unknown for managers to leak in order to pressurise the chairman and the board. There are different agendas at play here.

Im really confident that the caulker deal is done, hence him opening his big crooked pensioner jowl faced gob, and all this pathetic harry bashing is totally pointless.

Somewhat missing the point, which was he says too much to the press in general. It's not a media tactic, he just can't help himself it would seem.

The suggestions are that he does use them to his advantage, you can't suggest anything about the hooper-austin deal was just harry being a bit thick and blurting to the press, he genuinely could have wanted to get austin in quietly and it worked. You may be right for all we know, but all the signs suggest hooper knew the ball was in his court and he just played us well. Redknapp knows how to work the press, he isn't thick otherwise he wouldn't be as successful as he is.

Omg - I turn my back for 5 minutes

Look, this forum is for opinions and they will be different. I do not expect everyone to agree with my opinion but I do expect common courtesy. I have never slagged off a fellow supporters opinion, I may not agree, I may argue against but never **** them or their opinion off

I stand by my OP in that you never see any other premiership manager talk about an individual before the deal is done. Could you imagine Mattinez, wenger, Rodgers etc etc saying -"we've agreed terms with the club and it's now up to the boy"

If you can think of an example let me know ......

The vast majority of managers will wait until the deal is done

I get the point about all and sundry knowing that caulker is available for a fixed price but why can't we do our business quietly

For the record this is not a pop at Harry as a manager - he did a great job last season and I like him but I just wish he would keep his gob shut because if another club now comes in for caulker and he signs for them I won't be alone in venting my frustrations at Harry's gob!

I didn't say anything about the Hooper deal. I said he shouts his mouth off too much in general. Others suggested that was a stroke of Harry genius and I honestly don't think he's that smart. By his own admission he can barely write ffs.
