New qpr stadium survey findings

The survey shows that 85% surveyed want a stadium between 30-40k capacity, with 35k being the favoured option. My own preference is for 40k, which is what I think the club will go for.
I trust the gang of four will now accept the vast majority of fans want bigger than 30k and like me, accept 35k as the majority want.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

So they are not going to build it in triangular shape with 90,000 capacity? They clearly lack vision.Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

The key findings, which I'll just post here for posterity:
* An overwhelming majority of fans were in favour of the club’s plans to build a new stadium at Old Oak Common
* As expected there is a strong desire to capture the essence of Loftus Road and make sure that the new stadium takes on as much as possible of the features which makes Loftus Road a memorable home
* 85% of respondents favoured a capacity of between 30-40,000 for the new stadium, with 35,000 being the most popular option
* 62% of respondents would prefer the new stadium to have a rectangular shape, which was more than double the number of respondents (30%) who would prefer the new stadium to be oval
* 56% of respondents want to see two tiered stands behind each goal at the new stadium and over 67% of respondents want the stands to be steep with the preservation of Loftus Road’s atmosphere and proximity to the pitch being the key driver
* A large number of fans expressed the importance of stadium acoustics in generating a good atmosphere

I didn't blubber at Wembley, but can see me losing it big time on my last trek down South Africa RoadI must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

I saw the same situation unravel at Southampton. Nobody wanted to leave the Dell as it was "Home" and their was plenty of protesting and "I'm not going anymore if we move" but when they did go St Mary's filled up pretty quick. The first couple of seasons were fine, new stadia, better facilities, more leg room, better view and at first the atmosphere was lost due to the size of the place but when they got settled and the vocal supporters started moving seats so the were in certain blocks the atmosphere got a lot better. The problem they had was at first when in the prem all was good 32,000 each game and dropped to 27/28000 on certain games but the bubble burst when they got relegated. The reality kicked in and the likes of Donny, Bristol City etc did not appeal so the crowds dropped to 16/17,000 and for bigger games 22,000 they didn't even sell out for the game of the season against Pompey and I think this is a perfect model for us. If we stay up and play some football 30/35,000 could be achievable but the problem will arise if we go down as 17,000 in a 35/40,000 stadia will not be a pretty site........also look at Coventry !!!!
