Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica have all been disappointing since they all done a number on us Just makes you even more depressed, especially when you see those greedy losers advertising on TV
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

Yes, semis look very much like:
        Germany vs. Brazil
        Holland vs. Argentina

Brazil have been less than impressive and I'd fancy Germany to take them except that I know FIFA will find the biggest homer referee they can lay their hands on to take charge of the match and it will turn for Brazil on a dodgy penalty decision. And as for Columbia taking out Brazil in the quarters, FIFA would NEVER allow that!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Holland over Brazil in the final, just because FIFA will have already filled their boots by the time Brazil have got to the final so there will be no need to ensure they win. The Dutch are due.

Think Columbia is the team to watch out for. I reckon they will beat Brazil and if they do then there will have the confidence to go all the way.

That's if they survive to play their next game.

Could NEVER happen in a big match, like the semi final of a major European competition, right Kev?!

Anderlecht have finally paid the price for bribing the referee in their Uefa Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest 13 years ago and will be banned from the next European competition they qualify for.

Did you not watch the infamous South Korea vs. Italy match? I guess not.

                    Columbia to beat Brazil
                    France to beat Ze Germans

Columbia to beat France on pens

                    Argentina to beat Belgium just
                    Holland to beat Costa Rica

                    Holland to beat Argentina

Columbia to beat Holland in the final.

Tough one to call out of France and Columbia but who ever wins that (if it is the semi final) will go onto win it for me.

Too late Mel, predictions were made at the last 16 knockout stage. You already made yours then:

I like your semi final predictions better than mine Stanley, I hope you are right! Germany might just be good enough to beat the Ref and Brazil, if they play their best.

And Holland now have the chance to avenge their final defeat in 78. Yes, that's the one where the match that got the Argies to the final was fixed, but shhh, don't tell Kevin Mcleod, he still believes in the Tooth Fairy and Father Christmas!
Peru agreed to throw a game against eventual winners Argentina during the 1978 World Cup in South America in order to help the hosts progress at the expense of Brazil, it has been claimed.

Interesting to read that ds; sadly it shouldn't surprise us considering how much has been exposed in recent years. It would make a Dutch victory in the final seem even more just.
