My question had nothing to do with how much he is worth. It is to do with his attitude. He was obviously desperate to play in the world cup and this has not really happened. Everybody knows (and he has admitted it himself) that he can get depressed and is a bit of a hypochondriac.

World Cup isn't over yet JM - he could yet score the winner in the final! That unlikely event aside, surely he has the prospect of at least one more World Cup to look forward to, if he plays well for his club team.

And to answer your question, I think he will be the same player next season as he was last - a proven goal scorer in the Premier League. He may of course get fewer goals if the service is not as good.

'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.
