If it was down to me, he would be our first choice keeper.

My second choice so far is actually USA vs. Ghana - great come back and win for the Stars and Stripes, against the run of play. Nothing like a sucker punch after you've just conceded an equalizer!
Been some great games, just feel Brazil have been given the rub of the green solely for being the host nation.Spain v Holland was good but Chile for me were class.

not the best Brazilian team I've seen by a long way, go as far as to say home advantage won't help them. Argies, Holland and Germany superior
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

Was gutted for Chile, they were far and away the better side IMO.

I'm not one for conspiracies at all, but jesus wept what did Brazil have to do to get a yellow card?! Unbelievable how much they're getting away with this World Cup.

I think they'll get turned over by Columbia - they're really not all that at all, take Neymar out of the side and they're not got a lot about them at all.

Chile were fantastic, a very organised unit with the perfect blend of nityy gritty tough tackling & finesse. Think Alexis Sanchez is a top top player, he doesn't shine as much as Barca as (IMO anyway) everything there goes through Messi. Put him in any other side & he would be a world class striker.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I thought Alexis was more an attacking midfielder come winger?

Plays anywhere up top I think but I'm sure he has been utilised as a striker for the most part in the recent year or 2; albeit Barca don't strictly play with a striker, it's quite a fluid formation.

Wasn't sure about Brazil but that game just showed raw passion something I haven't seen in professional footballers for a long time.
Brazil fanbase is the South American equivalent to what England's fanbase is to Europe, no other countries compare, love seeing all those yellow shirts watching non brazil games.
Thought Webb was harsh on them but they just carried on and didn't melt, if that was England and it was Lambert instead of Hulk we would have just gone out 1-0 by way of a wimper, plucky losers.
So pleased for Cesar, one of our Galacicos that was actually quite good, many many players more worthy of stick than him, give a bloke £80k p/w on a four yr contract and our "ambition" and then stick him behind one of the the worst defence in prem history and then get relegated and say take a pay cut or go elsewhere doesn't really say "loyalty" by the club that most of us consider one of the most important qualities of a club, posters on here were belittling hooper going elsewhere as if that bloke was disloyal
Anyway Cesar delivers on the world stage and we should be proud a player contracted to us being front page international news
