But now you can't find a single person willing to back those deals.
I think one of the lessons learnt is that twiiter/web/mb hype tells you $od all about a player
Have to say i don't remember many if any complaints at the time of Hughes' signings. Actually there was one i remember a few complaints about.........Ryan Nelson was his name!

Dave you are right and we have now learned from those mistakes, and don't want to repeat them again, it was painful the first time!

Signing BAE , Hughes , Benayoun , Chevantón , Onyewu and Maïga on short term loans/deals when we could have given youngsters a chance shows we haven't learnt anything but that's the QPR way and has been for years people always want one more signing

BAE was actually pretty decent for us despite the poor finish. Hughes/Benayoun solid when we needed them. Onyewu was a solid back up to (at the time) the best defence in the country. Chevanton and Maiga - well the only alternative was Hitchcock who has now been released...plus, we went up. In hindsight, the signings were generally ok.

The point is we didn't need to sign a lot of the those players

After much persuasion from twitter and may others I'm back on Twitter. But will be more thoughtful. Was a good break.

Ask him how much twitter offered him to sign back up?
