  • Timothee Kolodziejczak

Nice left back Timothee Kolodziejczak is another target for Rangers as they look to rival West Ham and Southampton for the 22-year-old who rejected Manchester United as a teenager. Nice want around £4million.

Queens Park Rangers want to make Steven Caulker their next signing. The newly promoted London club have made a bid for the Cardiff City centre half.

I'm just glad that the club have finally decided to sort out the back line, we get this right and we won't be going back down.

The aim is to only sign players with long names so they take up at least two lines on the back of the shirt. It's h only way to hide those god awful huge white panels on the back of he home kit.

Onuoha is best as a centre back. We should play with 3 centre backs if rio and caulker sign imo. Simpson or phillips as right wing back, traore or yun on the left.

Not sure you can play with a sweeper in the modern game. A lot of teams only play with one striker. Games are won and lost in midfield. Where teams like ours get raped in the prem league is all those opposition players who drift about in the free role and no one picks them up. Not sure we are good enough to survive as a purely backs to the wall team as inevitably you let one in and you then don't have much idea about moving forward. imho of course.

possibly true, but with 3 CBs and 2 good defensive midfielders maybe it could work.

Fair point it's not very popular nowadays but I wouldn't say it's not very attacking. Martinez had wigan playing this system when he was there, thought they played decent attacking football at times.
