  • (Kor v Bel)Admitting the difference in quality and depth

I have to admit our young ones were immature both in terms of experience and skills.

poor decision making, being afraid to take a shot at distant position.

    Everyone is crying now...

almost all players being 21 years old, 22 years old, 23 years old.

in 2018, you will all turn into a fine quality 26 27 years old world stars!

    At least you've tried.

    Good luck in 2018

    Come on Warriors

I am rooting for QPR FC.

but I expect tides and wind will be for Korea long before the next world cup comes.

the same for England IF England makes a fine solid team with motivated ones.

After the terrible defending in the first half of the Algeria game, it was a lost cause. I was hoping for a lucky break today, but we lack quality strikers and also lack experience on the defensive end. We have good midfielders, but our main striker (Chu Young Park, who used to be a decent striker) has been in a slump for years since ditching Lille to make that last-minute move to Arsenal. He has gotten hardly any playing time since then, and his severe drop in form has sorely hurt us in this World Cup. Shin Wook Kim and Keun Ho Lee just are not good enough to fill Park's shoes. The defense has been abysmal, hopefully they will become more dependable as they gain some age and experience.

What South Korea really needs in the long run is a couple of good, young stikers. Chu Young Park and Keun Ho Lee are not getting any younger, and Shin Wook Kim is better used as an impact sub (lobbing long balls at his head can be effective for limited periods only). It's great to have Heung Min Son, but he is more of a winger, at least for now. Son is only 22, so perhaps he can evolve into a proper striker in time. God knows we have enough wingers (Heung Min Son, Chung Yong Lee, Bo Kyung Kim, Dong Won Ji), although Lee and Son are better than the others.
