I also hope we offer Faurlin a new deal as well , need to keep players around who have an affection for the club
I am I missing something, thought Green, Hill and Faurlin were offered new contracts?* Or was I dreaming? ?

Highly unlikely to start many games, but great for the squad. This is good news.

Not every game surely? Showed he wasn't up to it against the bigger teams the last time we were in the Prem.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of his attitude, effort, desire, passion etc, but that wont help when the likes of Suarez, Rooney, Costa, RVP etc are in a one on one with him.....

We haven't just signed Rio to give pep talks in the dressing room.... my guess is Ned and Rio to start and Hill to step in every now and then to give Rio a rest.

Great news by the way, the qpr legend deserves it!!

I absolutely love Clint Hill. 4 years he's been here, but i'm claiming him as ours, a true R. Everything about the man shouts professional, and classy. Best signing in the last 10 years.
Hope he stays for a lot of years to come.Just achieved his A licence, think he'll make a great coach/manager, hope it's with QPR one day.

If it had been owned for 20 years and had numerous crashes and it had been given a nickname with some fury dice above the dashboard - some on this board wd prefer that it seems to having a brand new Aston Martin outside. Clint is like a rusty MG Midget: technically a "classic" but in reality not worth all that he once was. This isn't to criticise Clint: if he is doing his coaching badges and we have a vacancy in that dept then great love to have him around, but if he features for us in much more than the mickey mouse cup we will get raped.

Was said numerous times before ...."Clint won't cope against"...(input name)...
Poty twice...been in the team that had wins against Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs...with all their big names...gets written off pre-season after pre-season...

Gotta agree with Dave. Clint's never let us down. He's a squad member now, sure, but when he plays he still won't let us down. Management have to use him wisely and not let him be compromised. But he's surpassed himself before when it was least expected. He was by far a better CB than that half witted fatso Samba last time in the PL. Folk on here ought pay the club captain a little bit more respect. I'm looking forward to him wearing the hoops next season.

Two years on, Ginger, so he's slower, but how many times was Clint not up to it that season? Carved up by Suarez at home for a goal, sure, but that was because we played 442 and the mad Mailian couldn't provide cover so the biter could run at Clint from deep. When Derry came on we kept it at 0-3. And Clint was outstanding at Everton in the cup this January. Sure we got caned, but that was the failing of the team, not the CB pairing. Let's not forget that the Chief, who I'd start, made more individual errors than Clint last season.
