However, we wont/shouldnt go signing a whole new squad like last time in the Prem as its just not feasible or sensible.
I would keep the players who will fight for the club and can act as good back up throughout the season. Clint ticks both boxes for me, good squad and morale type player.

His statement:
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, the popular R’s defender expressed his delight at extending his stay in W12, commenting:
“I was always hopeful that I’d get a new deal, so to get it sorted so soon is great. I’ve enjoyed some great experiences at QPR over the last four years, I’m settled here, and I’m excited about being part of this club for another season.
Every year I always think it will be tough to keep my place in the side, and this season I’ve brought myself round to thinking that I won’t play as much and new players will come in. Maybe I’ll need to take on a different role this season. The most important thing is the club and how that progresses. I want to take a keen interest in that.”
Hill joined QPR in the summer of 2010 as a free agent following his release from Crystal Palace. He has since made 150 appearances in all competitions, winning the Supporters Player of the Year accolades in 2011/12 and 2012/13.
Hill admits his success so far with Rangers has only heightened his affection for the club, adding:
“It’s frightening to think I’ve played 150 games and been involved in some of the biggest ones of the club’s history. I’ve surpassed everything I thought I’d ever achieve here and that’s why this club has gripped me so much.”

Lets be honest, ages ago he said he wasnt good enough to play FB in the prem. He then got played in CB and at times looked a revelation but too often there were situations where he was given the run around, was clumsy and lucky not to give away pens, or simply didnt do a job properly costing us goals. He nearly cost us the play offs by standing still against Wigan and letting his player have a tap in inside our 6 yard box.
It's been 2 years since he last played in the prem and it's only going to be harder than it was then so he will struggle big time. Based on that i dont see the point. Yes he's been great etc, but if he'll stuggle so much i see it as a waste of a wage and squad place personally as he'll get targeted and exploted if he plays.
AS for a new role, that doesnt suggest coaching as such, but if they want him for that, great, give him a coaching role, not a playing one.
