Defoe would be a fantastic signing, one of the most underestimated English footballers we've ever had.... IMO should've gone to the WC..... But with Rio and Defoe we would definitely need to balance things out with some younger signings.SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

seem to recall lots of you on here and i include myself were spunking at the thought of all those top class players that were coming in last time we were in the prem, we all know how that ended! as they say once bitten , twice shy and that meshes nicely in with the theme of the day!LONDON CALLING TO THE ZOMBIES OF DEATH.... ALSO KNOW AS BRENTFORD FANS

Defoe, FFS his 31 why are we looking at these old players, have we not learnt!!!! If he signed a 3 year contract he would be 34 playing for the R's, people would go into a rage at this thought. now, we have to look at this situation logically, if we sign anybody on a 3 year deal they should be no older than 26 and a 5 year deal no loser than 24 then we would have a happy forum!!!!!. People who think Ferdinand is to old you have to remember that he has a wealth of experience and he hasn't had a hard season over the past few years so IF he has got over his injury problems he has a good few years left in him and to partner him with Chief or a new YOUNG recruit I think would be a masterstroke.

Of course he's got over his injury problems. Surely we wouldn't consider signing him otherwise?
Yes, let's give him a three year contract as you suggest. You're absolutely right. He'll only be 38 at the end of it. Total bargain and I'm amazed other clubs haven't pounced on him. Doesn't that surprise you as well?
As for Defoe, it's a short term fix. I'd prefer a permanent signing of someone. Loan players can cause disruption to squads.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
