Again agree with you once again Rich on building team of 35 year olds and im not advocating that so we sing from the same hymn book

The players in the main played in the top league of football at the time for us so at least to me its justifiable. Suppose the point is signing older players in the Bush is not a new phenomenon which started since TF arrived we have always done it and from the names people are putting up done it particularly successfully

As said on other thread the key is the blend and balance get that right and players with the correct attitude and work ethic and its win win in my book

thread was not focused on you mate hope you never took it that way

And your right there will have been flops in that list too Bret Angel!!!!!! but equally there will be kids who have flopped too

He was a kid when we bought him off Derby! And he only went there as Mears wouldn't sell him to Gregory directly.

Also, Hollins wasn't really an old man. All the players we got from over there from 74 - 84 were a direct result of their East Stand **** up

Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I remember that game.was a spell when it seemed like we was always playing there.

Good thread for reminiscing but in order for it to have any relevance to our current situation, we need to modify the statement to:

"Players Rangers have signed on massive wages in the twilight of their careers who were a success".
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles
