Players Rangers have signed in the Twilight of their Careers who were a success
From my memory Rangers have always signed players who were more senior and given them a second wind and not all of them have been unsuccessful
So off the top of my head players we got who were aging and who done us a job were
Dave Webb
Frank McClintock
Steve Palmer
Clint Hill
Ryan Nelson
Ray Wilkins
Jon Hollins
Shaun Derry
Peter Reid
Tony Currie
Obvious exception was Mark Hateley
The difference with signing a player in the late stages of their career in the Premier league nowadays compared to yester-year is you can end up paying £50,000 a week plus for a player of 33 years of age and over hence why youth is seen as a better investment.
I'd be happy to see QPR sign Rio Ferdinand all Frank Lampard on 15 grand a week but these players still think they should be paid what they were payed at the peak of their career
